Community Pumpkin Patch
For over a decade, Bethany has hosted a fun-filled pumpkin patch - now a community tradition.
2021 Pumpkin Sales begin Oct. 2nd and the patch is open all month.
Trunk or Treat
2021 Sunday, Oct. 24, 5-7 PM
At the end of the month, church volunteers host Trunk or Treat for the local community on the lower parking lot. Children frolic on jump castles, play games with prizes, and gather goodies from vibrantly decorated vehicles.
2021 Saturday, Oct. 9, 5-6:30 PM Children’s Ministry hosts a family movie night serving eats, drinks, and treats. Families bring their own chairs or blankets and gather around as a community to watch a classic movie, such as The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown.

2021 marks our first annual Ark in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2-4 PM at the Pumpkin Patch. All pets and their humans are welcomed on church grounds for Fall Pet Photos, splashing pools, dog treats, prizes for best costumes, and a formal blessing of our pets by our pastor.
Join Our Team
Setting up & hosting the Pumpkin Patch each October requires a tremendous amount of service hours (fun with some physical labor), and this necessitates the annual commitment of a large group of volunteers.
2021 Schedule of Events
Pumpkin Patch Sales begin Oct 3rd & the patch is open 11 AM to 7 PM daily through the end of the month.
Proceeds: who benefits?
Thank you for faithfully spending your dollars on our Pumpkins each year. Navajo Indians in New Mexico grow these pumpkins as one part of their livelihood. Bethany United Methodist Church receives a portion of proceeds which we use to support a variety of ministries and missions.
Unloading pumpkins and setting up our community pumpkin patch, Oct. 3rd. This would not have been possible without the generous contribution of time and hard work by the James Island Charter High School JV Football Team and Wrestlers. Thank you!
